EventMobi Certificate Generator Documentation

Getting Started

Welcome to the EventMobi Certificate Generator! This tool helps you create and distribute certificates for your event attendees efficiently.

Prerequisites

  • An EventMobi account with admin access
  • Your EventMobi API key
  • A certificate template (PDF format)

Quick Start Guide

  1. Enter your EventMobi API key on the home page
  2. Select your event from the list
  3. Choose certificate criteria (attendance, duration, etc.)
  4. Upload your certificate template
  5. Configure field positions
  6. Generate and distribute certificates

API Key Management

Your API key is required to access your EventMobi events and manage certificates. Here's how to manage it securely:

Finding Your API Key

  1. Log in to your EventMobi account
  2. Go to Settings > API Keys
  3. Create a new API key or use an existing one

Security Features

  • API keys are stored in encrypted cookies
  • Keys automatically expire after 24 hours
  • You can manually clear your API key at any time

Certificate Criteria

Define who receives certificates based on various criteria:

Available Criteria Types

  • Event Attendance: Basic event check-in
  • Session Attendance: Attendance at specific sessions
  • Multiple Sessions: Attendance at multiple sessions
  • Session Duration: Minimum time spent in sessions

Duration Calculation

The system calculates session duration based on check-in/check-out pairs:

  • Complete pairs are automatically verified
  • Incomplete pairs can be flagged for manual review
  • Multiple check-ins are handled automatically

Bulk Generation

Generate certificates for multiple attendees at once:

Process

  1. Select eligible attendees
  2. Upload your certificate template
  3. Configure field positions
  4. Preview a sample certificate
  5. Generate all certificates

Distribution

Certificates are automatically:

  • Generated as PDF files
  • Attached to attendee profiles
  • Available in the EventMobi app

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

  • API Key Not Working: Ensure you're using a valid API key with appropriate permissions
  • Missing Attendees: Check your criteria settings and event access
  • Template Issues: Verify your PDF template is not password-protected

If you encounter issues:

  • Check the error messages displayed
  • Clear your API key and try again
  • Contact support through the footer link
